Postrelease supervision; revocation of parole, supervision of certain felons, etc.

Abstract

Revocation of postrelease supervision. Moves the supervision and oversight related to postrelease supervision from the Virginia Parole Board to the circuit court and probation office of the original sentencing jurisdiction.

A BILL to amend and reenact §§ 17.1-803, 19.2-295.2, 19.2-306.1, 19.2-306.2, 53.1-136, 53.1-145, 53.1-149, 53.1-157, 53.1-162, 53.1-164, and 53.1-165 of the Code of Virginia and to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 19.2-306.01, relating to revocation of postrelease supervision.
