Nursing homes and certified nursing facilities; professional liability insurance, proof of coverage.

Abstract

Nursing homes and certified nursing facilities; professional liability insurance. Specifies that the required minimum amount of professional liability coverage and general liability coverage for nursing homes and certified nursing facilities is the amount per occurrence. The bill requires nursing homes and certified nursing facilities to provide at licensure renewal or have available to the Board of Health proof of such coverage.

An Act to amend and reenact ยง 32.1-127 of the Code of Virginia, relating to nursing homes and certified nursing facilities; professional liability insurance.
