Charter; Town of Brodnax. Amends the charter for the Town of Brodnax in Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties to provide that the mayor elected in November 2025 shall be elected for a term of two years and thereafter for a term of four years. The bill also replaces the town's procedure for filling council vacancies by referencing the procedure provided by general law.
An Act to amend and reenact § 3.1, as amended, and §§ 3.2 and 3.3 of Chapter 131 of the Acts of Assembly of 1977, which provided a charter for the Town of Brodnax in Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties, relating to election of mayor; vacancies on town council.
