Abstract

Health care records; fees; certain requests by a patient or his attorney. Prohibits a health care provider from charging a fee for a request by a patient, or his attorney, for such patient's health care records when such records are to be used for the purpose of supporting a claim or appeal under the Social Security Act or any federal or state financial needs-based benefit program.

A BILL to amend and reenact §§ 8.01-413 and 32.1-127.1:03 of the Code of Virginia, relating to health care records; fees; certain requests by a patient or his attorney.
