Abstract

Transportation network companies;  publishing and disclosure requirements. Requires a transportation network company (TNC) to (i) issue an annual report to the Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles containing the aggregate data regarding the average fare collected from passengers, the total time driven by TNC partners while transporting a passenger, and the total amount earned by TNC partners in connection with prearranged rides and (ii) disclose to TNC partners details about the deactivation process and provide a weekly summary that includes the total fare collected from passengers, the total amount earned, and the percentage earned by such TNC partner that week.

Transportation network companies; delivery network companies; publishing and disclosure requirements. Requires a transportation network company or delivery network company, definedin the bill, to publish on its public website and associated digitalplatform information about (i) the portion of each fare, in the aggregate,that goes to the TNC or DNC partner, defined in the bill, and tothe transportation network company or delivery network company; (ii)on average, how much TNC partners and DNC partners work and earn;and (iii) the average amount of expenses TNC partners and DNC partnersincur in the course of such work. The bill requires a transportationnetwork company or delivery network company to disclose to TNC partnersand DNC partners the use of any nonlinear compensation system, definedin the bill, and details about such companies' deactivation process,defined in the bill, for TNC partners and DNC partners. The billrequires transportation network companies and delivery network companiesto provide TNC partners and DNC partners with information regardingthe fare and the amount they will be paid and the location or locationsto which they will be driving on a trip prior to any requirement to accept or decline such trip.
