Abstract

Department of Criminal Justice Services; certificationand regulation of charitable bail organizations. Provides forcertification and regulation by the Department of Criminal JusticeServices of charitable bail organizations, defined in the bill asany entity or nonprofit organization that exists for the purposeof providing or posting bond for another person and does not includea person that pays bail for (i) three or fewer defendants in any180-day period or (ii) a defendant's family or household member.
