Abstract

Health insurance; coverage for polycystic ovarysyndrome. Requires health insurers, health maintenance organizations,and corporations providing health care coverage subscription contractsto provide coverage for the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome,as defined in the bill, diagnosed by a licensed physician or healthcare provider, including diagnosis by a gynecologist, endocrinologist,primary care physician, pediatrician, nurse practitioner, dermatologist,or infertility specialist. The bill specifies the types of treatmentcovered for polycystic ovary syndrome and applies to policies, contracts,and plans delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or afterJanuary 1, 2025.
