Abstract

Health insurance; coverage for polycystic ovarysyndrome (PCOS). Requires health insurers, health maintenanceorganizations, and corporations providing health care coverage subscriptioncontracts to provide coverage for treatment of PCOS, if diagnosedby a gynecologist, endocrinologist, primary care physician, pediatrician,nurse practitioner, dermatologist, or infertility specialist. Thebill specifies which types of treatment will be covered for PCOS.The bill applies to policies, contracts, and plans delivered, issuedfor delivery, or renewed on and after January 1, 2023.
