Malicious prosecution; creates civil cause of action, self-defense.

Abstract

Civil action for malicious prosecution; self-defense. Creates a civil cause of action for malicious prosecution in anycase in which a criminal defendant charged with aggravated murder,murder in the first degree, murder in the second degree, or voluntarymanslaughter is found to have acted solely in self-defense. The billprovides that such cause of action shall lie against the prosecutorwho brought the charges or prosecuted such criminal case if suchcriminal defendant can prove that such prosecution was malicious and motivated by reasons other than bringing the alleged defendantto justice.
