Public schools; mandatory virtual learning;provision of required technology and Internet service; emergency.Provides that if a school board requires students to engage in virtuallearning for any reason, whether full time or part time, and a computerand Internet service to connect to the curriculum is required, theschool board must provide appropriate technology devices to everystudent enrolled in the school system so they may access the learningplatform. The bill requires school boards to provide adequate Internetservice to a student's household at no cost if the student's householdincome is below 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. Thebill contains an emergency clause.
