Best interests of the child; history of child abuse and acts of violence, etc.

Abstract

Best interests of the child; history of child abuse and acts of violence, force, or threat. Provides that any history of child abuse and acts of violence, force, or threat that occurred no earlier than 10 years prior to the filing of a petition for custody or visitation of a child shall be considered by a court in determining the best interests of a child. This bill is identical to HB 861.

Best interests of the child; history of child abuse. Provides that the court shall consider any history of child abuse in determining the best interests of a child for the purposes of a custody or visitation arrangement.

Best interests of the child; act of violence,force, or threat against an intimate partner or the intimate partner'schild. Provides that any act of violence, force, or threat againstan intimate partner or the intimate partner's child shall be consideredby a court in determining the best interests of a child for the purposesof a custody or visitation arrangement.
