Abstract

Administration of government; boards and councils;cleanup. Aligns authorizing language across certain boards andcouncils. The bill also increases from 18 to 21 the nonlegislativecitizen members of the Asian Advisory Board and the Council on Women.The bill removes the power and duty of the Council on Women to reviewand comment on budget and appropriation requests and grant applications.The bill revises the purpose of the Council on Women from identifyingways in which women can reach their potential to advising the Governoron matters pertaining to women and ways to improve their educational,professional, cultural, and governmental status within the Commonwealth.
