Resource Protection Areas; program to remediate septic systems in recurrently flooded areas.

Abstract

Commissioner of Health and the Director ofthe Department of Environmental Quality; program to remediate septicsystems in recurrently flooded areas of Resource Protection Areas. Directs the Commissioner of Health and the Director of the Departmentof Environmental Quality to develop a program to remediate septicsystems in recurrently flooded areas of Resource Protection Areasby allowing owners of septic systems located in portions of ResourceProtection Areas that are subject to recurrent flooding to add soilover the septic system tank and to the septic system drainfield toimprove septic system drainfield absorption and protect the public health and safety.
