Domestic Violence - As introduced, includes a domestic relationship between the victim and the defendant as an aggravating factor in sentencing for first degree murder; adds strangulation as an aggravating factor for reckless aggravated assault; expands aggravated assault to include reckless strangulation; requires law enforcement agencies to implement written policies requiring officers to screen victims of domestic violence; directs TACIR to study domestic violence prosecutions. - Amends TCA Title 36, Chapter 6, Part 3; Title 38 and Title 39.
