Education, Dept. of - As introduced, requires the department to contract for the development of assessments to be annually administered to students in grades nine and 10 in the subjects of English, math, reading, and science to replace certain end-of-course assessments administered as part of the Tennessee comprehensive assessment program; requires the department to develop proposed evaluation guidelines and criteria for educators teaching the grades and subjects for which the new assessments will be administered. - Amends TCA Title 49.
