Abstract

A BILL TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDING SECTION 9-11-10, RELATING TO THE POLICE OFFICERS RETIREMENT SYSTEM DEFINITIONS, SO AS TO ADD THE CATAWBA INDIAN NATION TO THE DEFINITION OF "EMPLOYER"; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 9-11-40, RELATING TO APPLICATION TO BECOME AN EMPLOYER UNDER THE POLICE OFFICERS RETIREMENT SYSTEM, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE CATAWBA INDIAN NATION CAN APPLY TO BECOME AN EMPLOYER UNDER THE SYSTEM.
