Commercial driver's license qualifications

Abstract

A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 56-1-2080, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE, SO AS TO ESTABLISH THE INTRASTATE VISION WAIVER PROGRAM, TO PROVIDE CERTAIN VISUALLY IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS MAY OBTAIN A WAIVER FROM THE SIGHT REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH A COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE, AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE WAIVER, THE CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH A WAIVER MAY BE GRANTED, AND THE PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING A WAIVER.
