Abstract

A BILL TO AMEND ACT 612 OF 1984, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE METHOD OF CONDUCTING ELECTIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARDS OF TRUSTEES IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A VACANCY OCCURRING ON THE SPARTANBURG COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 1 BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN EXPIRATION OF A TERM MUST BE FILLED BY A SPECIAL ELECTION CONDUCTED BY THE COUNTY BOARD OF VOTER REGISTRATION AND ELECTIONS FOR THE UNEXPIRED PORTION OF THE TERM AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 7-13-190.
