Constitution - Right to Refuse Medical Treatment

Abstract

A JOINT RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE I OF THE CONSTITUTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1895, RELATING TO THE DECLARATION OF RIGHTS UNDER THE STATE CONSTITUTION, BY ADDING SECTION 26 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE RIGHT OF A PERSON TO REFUSE ANY MEDICAL PROCEDURE, TREATMENT, INJECTION, VACCINE, OR PROPHYLACTIC MUST NOT BE QUESTIONED OR INTERFERED WITH IN ANY MANNER, AND EQUALITY OF RIGHTS UNDER THE LAW MUST NOT BE DENIED OR ABRIDGED TO ANY PERSON IN THIS STATE BECAUSE OF THE EXERCISE OF THIS RIGHT.
