Abstract

A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 12-6-510, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX, SO AS TO REDUCE THE TOP MARGINAL RATE TO SIX PERCENT AND TO SPECIFY THE MANNER IN WHICH THE REDUCTION OCCURS; TO AMEND SECTION 12-6-1171, RELATING TO THE MILITARY RETIREMENT INCOME DEDUCTION, SO AS TO ALLOW FOR THE DEDUCTION OF ALL MILITARY RETIREMENT INCOME; AND TO REPEAL SECTION 12-6-515 RELATING TO AN ARCHAIC INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX PROVISION.
