Abstract

A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 40-47-1240, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE LICENSURE OF ANESTHESIOLOGISTS' ASSISTANTS, SO AS TO REMOVE THE REQUIREMENT THAT LICENSURE APPLICANTS MUST APPEAR BEFORE A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS AND PRESENT EVIDENCE OF CERTAIN RELEVANT ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS AND KNOWLEDGE; AND TO AMEND SECTION 40-47-1250, RELATING TO THE SUPERVISION OF ANESTHESIOLOGISTS' ASSISTANTS, SO AS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF ANESTHESIOLOGISTS' ASSISTANTS THAT AN ANESTHESIOLOGIST MAY SUPERVISE.
