Abstract

A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-17-165 SO AS TO PROVIDE THE GOVERNING BODY OF EACH SCHOOL DISTRICT OF THIS STATE SHALL CREATE A STUDENT BULLYING ADVISORY COUNCIL TO BE COMPRISED OF STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND TEACHERS SELECTED BY THE GOVERNING BODY TO ADVISE THE GOVERNING BODY ON MATTERS RELATING TO STUDENT-ON-STUDENT BULLYING PROBLEMS, AND ON OTHER MATTERS THAT THE GOVERNING BODY CONSIDERS APPROPRIATE.
