AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-5-1005, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SHELLFISH IMPORTATION PERMITS AND PERMITS TO POSSESS, PRODUCE, PURCHASE, OR SELL GENETICALLY MODIFIED SHELLFISH, INCLUDING POLYPLOID SHELLFISH, SO AS TO NO LONGER PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO PERSONS TO POSSESS, PRODUCE, PURCHASE, OR SELL GENETICALLY MODIFIED SHELLFISH AND TO NO LONGER PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENT FOR THE PLACEMENT OF GENETICALLY MODIFIED SHELLFISH IN CERTAIN WATERS OF THIS STATE. - ratified title
