AN ACT RELATING TO ELECTIONS -- NOMINATION OF PARTY AND INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES; RHODE ISLAND CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPENDITURES REPORTING; CRIMINAL OFFENSES --THEFT, EMBEZZLEMENT, FALSE PRETENSES, AND MISAPPROPRIATIONS (Increases fines/penalties for failure to file timely campaign finance reports; increases information required in a declaration of candidacy; requires random audits of finance reports; and authorizes forfeiture of campaign funds for conviction of crimes.)
