Tullahoma - Subject to local approval, rewrites the city charter. - Amends Chapter 553 of the Acts of 1903; as amended.
Tullahoma - Subject to local approval, clarifies that the election for the Board of Education aligns with the November general election; extends board members' terms from August, until a successor is elected and qualified; establishes a four-year term for board members; extends the terms of the three school board members elected on the first Thursday in August 2020 from the first Thursday in August 2024 to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November 2024, or until their successors are elected and qualified; extends the terms of the two school board members elected on the first Tuesday in August 2021 from the first Thursday in August 2025 to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November 2026, or until their successors are elected and qualified; extends the terms of the two school board members elected on the first Thursday in August 2022 from the first Thursday in August 2026 to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November 2026, or until their successors are elected and qualified. - Amends Chapter 553 of the Acts of 1903; as amended.
Open Meetings - As enacted, requires a state governing body or a local government legislative body to make available to the public, at no charge, the agenda for the upcoming regular meeting in a place accessible to the public at least 48 hours prior to a regular meeting; authorizes such bodies to deliberate or act upon matters not listed on the agenda of its regular meeting if the body follows its bylaws or properly adopted rules and procedures and complies with all other applicable state laws. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 44, Part 1.
Business Organizations - As introduced, increases the minimum filing fee required when certain business entities file an annual report with the secretary of state. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 43; Title 48 and Title 61.
