General Assembly, Statement of Intent or Position - Urges Supreme Court to draft and adopt codes of conduct in the court rules for district attorneys general, district public defenders, and court clerks; urges Supreme Court to create panel to investigate current complaints of misconduct regarding three elected district attorneys general. -
Germantown - Subject to local approval, makes the office of mayor a full-time position, with the salary of the office to be set by ordinance. - Amends Chapter 87 of the Private Acts of 1985.
Aircraft and Airports - As introduced, increases, from 30 days to 30 business days, the amount of time before the start of a fiscal year that a joint board composed of public agencies overseeing a county or municipal airport has to submit its total expenditures to be made to the governing bodies of its constituent public agencies. - Amends TCA Title 42.
Local Education Agencies - As introduced, requires elections for county boards of education to be held at the same time and on the same election cycle as elections for members of the local legislative body for the county; requires members of county boards of education to have the same staggered terms as members of the local legislative body for the county; requires members of a county board of education to have the same term limits as members of the local legislative body for the county. - Amends TCA Title 2; Title 5; Title 7; Title 8 and Title 49.
