Memorials, Congress - Expresses support for the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of the 119th U.S. Congress. -
Medical Occupations - As introduced, deletes transitional language pertaining to the appointment and length of terms of members of the former board of medical examiners’ committee on physician assistants who were transferred to the new board of physician assistants in 2021, with the longest remaining term expiring in 2024; removes language limiting former committee members to a maximum of two consecutive four-year terms on the new board, inclusive of time as a member of the former committee. - Amends TCA Title 56 and Title 63.
Election Laws - As introduced, defines "district," for purposes of municipal elections, to mean a district, region, precinct, sector, territory, or other geographical area prescribed for the purposes of nominating and electing candidates. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 6, Chapter 53.
Open Meetings - As introduced, requires a governing body subject to the open meetings laws to reserve a period of public comment to provide the public with the opportunity to comment on any matter germane to the jurisdiction of the governing body, regardless of whether the matter is listed on the agenda for the meeting. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 44.
