Relating to funding public safety; prescribing an effective date.

Abstract

Digest: The Act would set up a task force to plan for a state body to fund public safety. The Act will take effect only if the Oregon Constitution is amended to create the state body. (Flesch Readability Score: 70.6). Establishes a task force to develop a plan for the Legislative Assembly to establish a statewide public safety funding authority in Oregon in accordance with House Joint Resolution 201 (2024). Takes effect only if House Joint Resolution 201 (2024) is approved by the people at the next regular general election. Takes effect on the effective date of the constitutional amendment proposed by House Joint Resolution 201 (2024).
