Relating to transportation safety.

Abstract

Establishes procedure for charging aggravated version of offense when defendant commits crime involving public transit. Directs court to impose specified incarceration sentences when defendant is convicted of aggravated offense. Limits pretrial release of defendants charged with crime involving public transit to security release. Requires Oregon Department of Administrative Services to reimburse counties for costs of pretrial incarceration of persons charged with crime involving public transit. Appropriates moneys to department for reimbursement.
