Relating to policing issues involving indigenous persons; prescribing an effective date.

Abstract

Establishes position of Tribal Relations Liaison within Department of State Police. Directs Board on Public Safety Standards and Training to ensure] provide, no later than October 31, 2022, in report to appropriate interim committees of Legislative Assembly, operational plan for training police officers and certified reserve officers are trained] to investigate and report cases involving missing or murdered indigenous persons. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
