Abstract

Relates to the preferred status and sources for commodities produced by certain organizations and agencies; provides commodities produced by the correctional industries program of the department of corrections and community supervision no longer have preferred status; requires that if commodities meet certain requirements, such commodities must be purchased first from approved charitable non-profit-making agencies for the blind, then from a qualified non-profit-making agency for other severely disabled persons, a qualified special employment program for mentally ill persons, or a qualified veterans' workshop.
