Abstract

Senate, April 23, 2020 --The committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, to whom were referred the petition (accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 194) of James T. Welch for legislation relative to identification for the purchase of alcoholic beverages; the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 305) of Paul McMurtry and others relative to the identification required for the purchase of alcoholic beverages; and the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 331) of Elizabeth A. Poirier relative to the use of magnetic identification card reader machines when purchasing alcohol, reports recommending that the accompanying bill (Senate, No. 2567) ought to pass.
