Community crossing grants.

Abstract

Sets maximum grant application amounts for local units based on vehicle miles traveled. Repeals the requirement that the department of transportation (department) must allocate at least 50% of the amount available to make grants in a state fiscal year to local units located in counties having a population of less than 50,000. Requires the department, prior to January 1, 2024, to pay off any outstanding debt related to crossroads 2000 bonds and repurpose the annual payment to urban redevelopment authorities.
