Uniform public expression protection act.

Abstract

Establishes a procedure to permit certain persons named in a civil action to dismiss or strike claims that relate to the person's: (1) communication in a governmental proceeding; (2) communication concerning an issue under review or consideration in a governmental proceeding; or (3) communication on a matter of public concern that is protected by the right to free speech and to petition. Repeals the existing anti-SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation) provisions and makes conforming amendments.
