Doctoral student provided mental health services.

Abstract

Requires the office of the secretary of family and social services to apply for approval of any waiver under the federal Medicaid program and any amendment of the state Medicaid plan that may be necessary for Medicaid reimbursement to be provided for mental health services provided to Medicaid recipients by doctoral students in psychology under the supervision of a licensed health service provider in psychology. Provides that a doctoral student in psychology who provides mental health services to a Medicaid recipient under the supervision of a licensed health service provider in psychology is entitled, as compensation, to part of the Medicaid reimbursement provided for the services.
