Dual credit teacher education requirements.

Abstract

Requires the commission for higher education to do the following: (1) Collaborate with the Association of Public School Superintendents to identify and contact teachers who can achieve compliance with the dual credit teaching requirements of the Higher Learning Commission by completing not more than 15 graduate credit hours, and provide the identified teachers with information to assist them in completing the required graduate credit hours. (2) Establish a clearinghouse to monitor progress made in teacher completion of required graduate credit hours for purposes of ensuring that high schools are able to offer the minimum of two required dual credit courses required by Indiana law.
