Fire Sprinkler Act-Exemption

Abstract

Amends the Fire Sprinkler Contractor Licensing Act. Provides that after January 1, 2017, no initial licenses shall be issued under provisions allowing certain individuals to be exempt from the requirements of the Act. In provisions concerning licensing requirements and designated certified person requirements, changes references from "fire protection technology automatic sprinkler system layout" to "water-based (formerly automatic sprinkler) systems layout". Effective immediately.
