Private Water Well Testing

Abstract

Amends the Environmental Protection Act. Provides that in counties with a population of more than 100,000 and less than 150,000, an owner or operator of a solid waste disposal site, clean construction or demolition debris fill operation, waste transfer station, recycling center, or other similar landfill site shall conduct and pay for semiannual water well testing for private well owners in a 5-mile radius around the site. Effective immediately.
