Ins Cd-Physical Therapy

Abstract

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that no insurer that issues an accident and health insurance policy in this State may impose greater fees for copayments, coinsurance, or office visit deductibles for covered services provided by a licensed physical therapist than the fees charged for copayments, coinsurance, and office visit deductibles for the same covered services provided by a licensed primary care physician. Provides that every insurer that issues an accident and health insurance policy in this State that provides coverage for physical therapy shall clearly state in its policies the availability of coverage for physical therapy and all related limitations, conditions, and exclusions.
