Use Tax-Service Members

Abstract

Amends the Use Tax Act and the Service Use Tax Act. Provides that tangible personal property purchased by a qualified service member or a qualified service member's spouse or domestic partner while residing outside of the State and prior to the report date on official orders transferring the qualified service member to this State are exempt from taxation under the Acts. Provides that the Act's automatic sunset provision does not apply to that exemption. Effective immediately.
