Abstract

Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. If the person arrested is not the owner of the animal, the peace officer must use reasonable diligence to notify the owner and provide care for the animal until turned over to the owner or owner's agent. Provides for the recovery of cost of care and limited liability for actions taken under the arrest and care provisions. Effective immediately.
