Crim Cd&Corr-Retail Theft

Abstract

Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 and the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that a person sentenced for retail theft of property the full retail value of which does not exceed $300, other than motor fuel or $150 for motor fuel, who has 2 or more prior convictions (rather than one prior conviction) of any type of theft, robbery, armed robbery, burglary, residential burglary, possession of burglary tools, home invasion, unlawful use of a credit card, or forgery commits a Class 4 felony and shall be required to make full restitution to the merchant.
