Dph-Opiate Rx-Educate Public

Abstract

Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department shall develop educational materials to educate holders of opiate prescriptions about the dangers of children and teens gaining access to these medications. Provides that the materials shall include information regarding the means by which the abuse of opiate prescriptions can lead to the illegal use of heroin.
