Univ-In State Tuition-Veterans

Abstract

Amends various Acts relating to the governance of public universities in Illinois. Provides that if a person is a veteran (defined as any person who has been honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces or any reserve component of the United States Armed Forces or the National Guard of any state, commonwealth, or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia), then the governing board of the university shall deem that person an Illinois resident for tuition purposes even if he or she is not a resident of this State. Effective July 1, 2013.
