Dhs-Tanf-Waiver Restriction

Abstract

Amends the Administration Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. In regard to work participation requirements under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, prohibits the Department of Human Services from submitting to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services a TANF demonstration project waiver proposal in order to (i) forgo compliance with federal mandates concerning work activities for TANF recipients and (ii) develop an experimental, pilot, or demonstration project to meet the work goals of the TANF program. Effective immediately.
