Dceo-Convention Bureaus

Abstract

Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that, beginning July 1, 2013, not less than 5/82 of the 82% of Local Tourism Fund moneys that are allocated to convention bureaus outside of Chicago shall be (i) allocated to the convention bureau with jurisdiction over the county within Illinois that contains the birthplace of the most recently-elected, Illinois-born president of the United States and (ii) used to promote certain sites connected with that President.
