Guardian & Advocacy Commission

Abstract

Amends the Guardianship and Advocacy Act. Provides that a simple majority of the members serving on the Guardianship and Advocacy Commission shall constitute a quorum (now, 6 members constitute a quorum). Adds that a member of the Commission shall serve for a term ending on June 30 and until his or her successor is appointed and has qualified or until the member resigns and the resignation is filed with the Secretary of State. Provides that a simple majority of the members serving on a regional human rights authority shall constitute a quorum (now, 5 members constitute a quorum). Effective immediately.
