Dhs-Hfs-Subst Abuse-Mentl Hlth

Abstract

Amends the Department of Human Services Act and the Department of Healthcare and Family Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that on January 1, 2011, transfers all functions performed by the Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and the Division of Mental Health within the Department of Human Services, as well as any other functions of the Department of Human Services relating to alcoholism and substance abuse or mental health, including such functions performed by the Inspector General within the Department of Human Services, are transferred to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services. Amends various other Acts to make conforming changes. Effective immediately.
