Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that applicants for a police department may exceed the maximum age of 35 years by the number of years served on active military duty, but by no more than 10 years of active military duty. Provides that persons on the eligibility list for appointment to a police department may exceed the maximum age of 36 years by the number of years served on active military duty, but by no more than 10 years of active military duty. Effective immediately.
