Use/Occ Tx-Electric Cars

Abstract

Amends the Use Tax Act, the Service Use Tax Act, the Service Occupation Tax Act, and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Exempts from taxation under the Acts any motor vehicle that is authorized for use on a highway in this State and that is fueled by electricity or fuel cells. Provides that the Acts' sunset provisions do not apply to these exemptions. Effective January 1, 2008.
